Substance Abuse Treatment in Indian Head

What Makes Pine Lodge’s Treatment Program so Successful?

Our clients are treated as individuals and as such, we recognize that everyone is at different stages in the recovery process. Addiction is not just stopping the addiction to drugs and alcohol. We recognize that it is tied into many factors and has varying degrees of motivation, motivation to changing lifestyles, commitment to treatment, recovery and changes necessary to long-term recovery.

When doing up our treatment plans, we ensure they are customized to meet each client’s needs and we are continually assessing and able and willing to adjust a level of care that is based on the client’s needs and clinical milestones.

Our treatment program is evidence-based, meaning we depend on science, data and proof that our program treats alcohol and drug addiction and it works.

We also are based on the Twelve Steps, not just within the deliverance of our program but how we conduct ourselves professionally and personally as employees.

Some of the therapies, methodologies, clinical and evidence based practices that our counselors are trained and experienced in at Pine Lodge Treatment Center are:

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a treatment approach that emphasizes balancing behavioral change, problem-solving, and emotional regulation with validation, mindfulness, and acceptance.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of treatment that focuses on exploring patterns of thinking that lead to self-destructive actions and identifying the beliefs that direct these thoughts. Through CBT, people can learn to modify their patterns of thinking to improve coping.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) uses mindfulness and behavioral activation to increase psychological flexibility and the ability to engage in values-based, positive behaviors while experiencing difficult thoughts, emotions, or sensations.

Motivational Enhancement and Interviewing
Motivational Enhancement and Interviewing is collaborative and helps you identify “what’s in it for you,” in regards to staying sober, working through difficult issues, and developing the skills necessary to accomplish whatever you are striving towards.

Conflict Resolution Therapy
This therapy focuses on learning a healthy way to communication with a mediator or “middle person” involved to find solutions to certain challenging situations, relieve related mental health symptoms, and build a skill set that can be used to navigate future conflict. Conflict is not a negative thing and can be huge teaching moments, so we emphasize this in our groups.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy / Solution Focused Therapy
Solution Focused Therapy focuses on a person’s present and future, rather than past. This is considered goal-oriented therapy. The symptoms or issues that brought a person to their current situation are usually not the target in this therapy setting.

Educational Groups and Lectures
This specific type of group therapy focuses on educating people about disorders and strategies for coping with things when they are struggling.

Group Therapy
Groups can act as a support network and a sounding board. Other members of the group often help you come up with specific ideas for improving a difficult situation or life challenge, and hold you accountable along the way.

Regularly talking and listening to others also helps you put your own problems in perspective. Many people experience mental health difficulties, but few speak openly about them to people they don’t know well. Oftentimes, you may feel like you are the only one struggling — but you’re not. It can be a relief to hear others discuss what they’re going through, and realize you’re not alone.
